Fresh Air, Sunshine and Cannabis: Best Places for an Outdoor Smoke Sesh
With Spring right around the corner, many of us start to get a little antsy. We’ve been cooped up and cold all winter and now that the days are longer and warmer, we are so ready to step outside and soak up some of that vitamin D the sun so graciously bestows upon us.
From hiking to hanging out at the lake, there are plenty of places toke up outside.
The Backyard: This is a great place to start and it’s private. While winters aren’t necessarily long, it does seem like it. The first day of warm weather has us stepping outside the house like moles out of the ground. The sun stings the eyes, yet we welcome it with smile. What’s perfect about your own backyard is the comfort of being at home. Think of it as that first step toward a great season of outdoor smoking. What are you waiting for? Clean off that patio furniture, invite your best smoking buddies, fire up the barbecue and blaze that K.G.B. (killer green bud) Check out some of these great cannabis infused barbecue recipes while you are at it and delight your guests with some special treats.
Pre-hike Sesh: If you are already a nature lover, there is nothing better than a good hike paired with the perfect pakalolo. This is particularly awesome because it gives you the opportunity to enjoy a great high and by the time you’ve made it back to the car, your senses will be restored thus avoiding a ticket. Don’t forget, consuming and driving is illegal. No one wants to ruin a great day with a legal altercation.
Post-boating: Summertime on the lake is always a good time. From boats to jetskis, there are tons of things to do while hanging out at the lake over a long, well-deserved weekend break from the daily grind. In the past, people have enjoyed alcoholic beverages around the campfire after a long day on the water. How much more fun would it be to roast marshmallows for those s’mores while smoking your favorite Mary Jane?
Camping: While keeping in mind that consuming cannabis on federal property is illegal, you can still find great places to pitch a tent and imbibe in some chronic. Outside in the fresh mountain air with only the moon, stars and your lighter to illuminate the night makes getting baked so much more relaxing. Consumers can also get a great campfire going to keep warm. Telling tales of terror with your 420 besties huddled around the flames will totally change the way you remember the traditional campfire classics.
Hot Air Balloon Rides: Talking about getting high. The best part about the balloon ride is getting up in the air where it is quiet and breathtakingly beautiful. While smoking cannabis on the balloon is prohibited, there is nothing stopping you from toking it up prior to the ride. It is an experience that will take your high to a whole new level.
Fishing: This is perfect for the early morning wake and bakers. Hang out on the lake in a boat or on shore and cast away. Even if you don’t catch a thing, you still got to get outside and savor the sunshine, peace and quiet. On the flip side, if you were lucky enough to catch a trout or two, the morning smoke sesh can turn into an evening sesh while frying up the days haul from the lake.
Outside smoke sesh’s are the greatest. But, be mindful of the rules and regulations in your area before exploring the great outdoors and partaking in our favorite plant.
Once you’ve taken that into consideration gather up your gear (don’t forget the sunscreen) and discover the best place to enjoy your bud. After all Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!”
